My first screenplay, IN THE VALLEY OF THE BRAVES, has won several awards to date from prestigious film festivals. I have posted the first 10 pages of the screenplay below.

In the Valley of the Braves
Nicky, a city boy who lives in Compton, tries to avoid gangs, drugs, and other ills of the area. After they kill his father, he strives to do right by his mother and sister. But he is forced to join a gang and commit a crime with them. Instead of jail, a rancher rescues him and he ends up on a Montana ranch.

Carlos "Saa" Booker, a dear friend of mine, had multiple sclerosis. Despite the debilitating disease, he was cheerful and an inspiration to everyone who knew him. He quickly made friends with the neighborhood boys and they took him everywhere with them, making his life an adventurous one.

A Nazi soldier with a heart takes pity on two young Jewish boys who are interned in Dachau. He rescues them, but then has to deal with the aftermath of an angry camp commander, who vows to find them.

A young artist, desperate for love, tries to date girls, without success. He is pressured by his military father - who doesn't respect him or his art - to get a job. He meets a gay artist in San Francisco, who introduces him to the LGBTQ world, and he discovers that there, he can find love.

An uplifting story of hope
When an angel is sent to earth in human form to help people, he makes many friends and encounters a few enemies but always brings a hopeful and encouraging message to everyone he meets. Then he is called back to heaven, leaving holes in the hearts and souls of those he had loved and helped.

A young boy experiences an accident that leaves him in a coma. When he wakes up, he astounds the world with his mind and supernatural abilities.
sasquatch
Bigfoot saves the life of a young lady who was trapped by a boulder. He takes care of her but when her family and authorities come looking for her, he shields her from civilization.
IN SEARCH OF PEACE
A tough guy, John, grows up in a difficult childhood, which shapes him as a man. After committing a crime that sends him to prison, he meets a chaplain that teaches him about God. He decides to become a priest and studies for it. But when he gets out of prison, he struggles to deal with a world he had forgotten about.

A private eye who was a a detective for many years tries to retire and enjoy the good life. But a peaceful retirement is hard to come by, when trouble keeps looking for him and a very rich lady comes into his life.
